Poetry has always been an interest of mine and I was delighted when my old friend John asked if I would co-host a Spoken Word night with him.

Obviously I jumped at the chance, started to dig through my collection of works and became instantly inspired again, I have already written half a dozen new poems for the night.

We are holding the event at the beautiful Hardwicke Church, on the evening of Wednesday 30th May, it should be very atmospheric, if it goes well and we have a good turnout it could become a regular event.

Anyone who likes poetry is welcome, it’s free to come along and if you fancy a go at the open mic section at the end then bring a poem, if you just enjoy poetry then sit back and relax, John and I along with guest poets have plenty on offer.
