Creation !!

Have you ever stopped to stare at creation ? looked around at the world with sheer admiration.

The flowers, the tress and plants that grow, wandering how Mother Nature made them so.

Colours so vibrant life looks like a show, in Summer, Spring and even the Winter snow.

Animals, insects and species of all kind, some they are harmful whilst most are just fine.

From coast to coast along rugged shorelines, beaches that stretch whilst trails unwind.

Hills turn to mountains with snow on their peaks, whilst birds soar high with food in their beaks.

Valley’s that glow in the nightly moon light, howls in the darkness whilst bats take flight.

Waves that crash down over and over again, but sea life continues and never gives in.

Grass that’s so green it doesn’t look real, it’s nice to lie down on and soft to the feel.

Lakes so immense they defy explanation, crystal clear waters that show your reflection.

Out in the forest through a gentle breeze, ambling through countryside what sights are these.

Delight in the sunset, marvel at dawn, stay awake to see it all and try not to yawn.

Have you ever stopped to stare at creation ? get out there and see it you’ll be filled with elation.

Rainy Day

It’s raining again, when will it stop,

On and on it goes, not missing a spot

The sky has gone grey, so dull life is now,

It’s driving me mad, the drip, drop and drip,

I long for the sun, to dry up up the world,

My clothes are just soaked, my umbrella unfurled,

I make my way home, through puddles like lakes,

The weight of my clothes, makes my whole body ache,

Not far to go now, but it’s starting to pour,

Just a bit further, and I’ll be at my door,

Cold rain on my skin, trickles down my wet face,

Can’t stand being sodden, I feel out of place,

Children splashing in puddles, without a care in the world,

A sudden smile on my face, as I recall younger days,

I jump in a puddle, it makes a huge splash,

The kids look around, and everyone laughs,

Exhausted from splashing, I’m sad to be home,

The rains not that bad, it makes me feel young…
