Great news, Scholastic America love my books and have renewed their contract for another four years until 2029. This means My Teachers a Robot ! and My Teachers a Spy ! will be available in America to purchase for another four years through Scholastic.
To have the backing of America’s biggest Children’s book publishers, who also boast Harry Potter and The Hunger Games as titles they supply is amazing. Along with their teaching resources for educational products, they are a huge supplier of books to the school system and have an outstanding reputation.
To say I am privileged is an understatement, to have their support and confidence in me is fantastic.
Being an Author isn’t easy at times, with your brain swimming with ideas and knowing which ones to write down. Might sound great but trust me, keeping a notebook by your bedside so you can remember most of them is a chore at times…
I have been writing Short Stories and Poems. And I have many more to come, however my question is, do you the reader want to see more of these on the My Teacher Series website ?
I will publish a few to see what you think, I would love to hear your feedback.
It’s hard to believe but yes it really has been 10 years since the start of My Teacher, with My Teachers a Robot starting the series all that time ago.
After many school and library visits, reading to thousands of children, answering questions and hearing some of the wildest ideas for future books. I am still here writing and children are still enjoying my books.
To celebrate this milestone I will be giving away five signed copies of My Teachers a Spy! along with a limited edition Postcard.

It’s been a while since I have added to my website, I’ll be honest I have been distracted and a bit lazy at the same time. Being a part-time Author means that my day job comes first and we all have to pay the bills…
I am hopeful that I can get Book 3 – My Teachers an Alien – into production in the next couple of months. Austin Macauley have offered me a contract and seem keen to continue the My Teacher Series as am I.
Watch this space over the next month or so for updates, I am really excited for My Teacher fans to read My Teachers an Alien, it’s very funny and I am sure you will be entertained.

I am very pleased to announce that the lovely people at Waterstones, Gloucester have asked me to do a book signing. This will be taking place on Saturday the 23rd of August, from 12- 2pm.

My Teacher fans, we have good news and bad, my publisher Austin Macauley absolutely loves My Teachers an Alien! and have offered a Contract. This is fantastic, however due to the current financial instability that with live in, it is a contribution based Contract.
So, to fund this I will be starting a Crowd Funding page with the aim to raise the necessary funds. I will be looking for 100 people to contribute £20 each. As a thank you, all will receive an acknowledgement in the book when it is published and all will receive a free signed copy.
I really hope this attracts contributors that would like to see a humble Author have some success in the Book World and be part of the journey as it happens.

Morning My Teacher fans, I know I have been very quiet of late but I have a good reason. Last year was a challenging year, after being diagnosed with Cancer of the Voice Box I have spent the last nine months battling this awful disease.
I am very pleased to say that after some successful Laser Surgeries I am now in remission and keen to move on. I know I’m not Cancer free and will have to have check-ups for five years but it’s a small price to pay to be in this position. I am so grateful to all the wonderful NHS staff, my Doctor and Therapists who have helped me through this.
Cancer is something you never think will happen to you but can I say that the support out there is unbelievable and without the likes of MacMillan I don’t know how my family would have got through this.
This years aim for My Teacher series is to get back out there, I will look to post more often and try to get some events in the calendar. The third book My Teachers an Alien still has an offer on the table from Austin Macauley and is something I will try to figure out and get published.

I was very pleased and surprised to be contacted by Ruth at Manchester Community Radio who asked me to appear on her show.
Obviously I agreed, we recorded an interview where we spoke about My Teachers a Spy !, the MND Association and all things writing.
